Where Revelations Can Be Wrong - 001

I always hear my Moslem friends saying that the Christians worship three Gods, namely God (as the Father), the Virgin Mary (as the Mother) and Jesus Christ (or Isa son of Mary as the Son). Even the Quran says this in 5:116 And (remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allâh?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen. In Malay this is Surah Al-Maidah Ayat 116: Dan (ingatlah) ketika Allah berfirman: "Wahai Isa ibni Maryam! How wrong can my Moslem friends be. Don't they do research? Don't they know the real concept of the trinity? Don't they realize what assertion they are making when they say Christians believe that God needed to use a woman - perhaps have sexual relations with her, in order to create Jesus? The Bible which existed at least 600 years before the Quran was revealed had in 1 Corinthian 8:4 that "So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one." And this epistle was written circa 52 A.D. While in James 2:19 "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." The questions here are: 1. Isn't Allah infallible? 2. Will Allah change His mind and abrogate His previous revelations? 3. Aren't the first Christians Jews who believed in the Oneness of God? 4. Weren't the early Moslems of the pagan faith who practiced polytheism? I leave you to ponder on the foregoing. Have a good Independence Day weekend. abuanwardi
